Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management

A psychiatric evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of all aspects of your life.

A review of medical/surgical history, past psychiatric history, family history, social history and past treatment are included, as well as evaluation of other aspects of your life. This in-depth information helps me to understand you so that I can provide the best treatment for your concerns.

Sometimes medication is needed as part of your comprehensive treatment plan. As a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, I am licensed to prescribe medication. I am very conservative with medication and will work with you to find what works best for you.

Many issues that people face can be addressed through psychotherapy. This can be the sole treatment or can be part of an overall treatment plan that includes medication. Psychotherapy is a journey of exploration that we take together to identify repetitive or self-defeating patterns in your life so that you can grow and change what isn’t working. Sessions typically last 50 minutes and are most helpful if attended on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
